(FOX Carolina) - Crews surveying the depths of Scotland’s famous Loch Ness have found signs of the lake’s legendary monster, or at least a long lost movie version of
the mythical creature.
The BBC reports that a Norwegian company investigating the murky depths came across the monster—a model dinosaur made for a Sherlock Holmes movie that was shot on the lake in 1969--at the bottom of the lake.
According to the BBC article, the model sank during production and researchers said the location of the radar findings are consistent with notes on where the prop went underwater.
The film “The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes” features an encounter between the iconic detective and the legendary monster.
